01 Mission Objective

Train Like an Airline First Officer, Before You Are One

Advanced Jet & CRM Sim is Thrust Flight Academy’s capstone bridge program, modeled directly on the FAA’s Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP CTP) framework. Cadets transition from single-engine piston aircraft to turbofan simulator operations, mastering the crew coordination and standard operating procedures every regional airline expects on day one.

Turbine Engine Management

High-bypass turbofan systems, N1/N2 power management, and jet-specific emergency procedures.

Multi-Crew Coordination (MCC)

Structured two-pilot cockpit workflow, callouts, and task-sharing under FAA Crew Resource Management standards.

High-Altitude Aerodynamics

Swept-wing jet handling characteristics, coffin corner awareness, and high-speed flight envelope protection.

Airline SOP Standardization

Sterile cockpit discipline, standard callouts, and checklist flows matching Part 121 regional carrier operations.

02 Candidate Prerequisites Checklist
Current CPL with Multi-Engine Rating
Current FAA Instrument Rating
Minimum 500 total flight hours recommended
Current FAA 1st or 2nd Class Medical

*This program is designed as a capstone — most cadets enter after completing CFI hour-building or equivalent turbine-adjacent flight time.

03 Syllabus Breakdown

Structured 3-Phase Airline Bridge Curriculum

Modeled on FAA ATP CTP requirements to prepare cadets for regional airline new-hire simulator training.

This program is modeled on the ATP CTP framework and covers the same core competencies, but the FAA-mandated ATP CTP course itself must still be completed through an approved provider before your ATP checkride — we’ll help you schedule that as part of graduation.
No prior jet time is required. This program is specifically designed to bridge piston pilots into turbine and multi-crew operations from the ground up.
It significantly strengthens your candidacy and unlocks our direct airline cadet placement agreements, but final hiring decisions rest with each airline partner’s own interview process.
Our Level D full-motion FTD is certified to the same fidelity standard airlines use for new-hire type-rating training — the flight characteristics and systems behavior are virtually indistinguishable from the real aircraft.
